A Quarter Century of Collaboration: The Aluminier Network Technal 2025 Celebrates Its Anniversary at a Memorable Convention
The city of Ljubljana became the meeting point for more than two hundred and sixty aluminium industry professionals who attended the 2025 Aluminier TECHNAL Convention. The event, held from October 17 to 19, brought together workshops and specialist companies to celebrate a remarkable milestone: the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Aluminier Network in Spain, a community of certified manufacturers that has spent a quarter of a century establishing itself as an essential component of the TECHNAL universe. Their blog recounts the event in detail.
Since its beginnings, this network has stood out for its commitment to excellence in manufacturing, installation and technical consultancy for aluminium solutions. Over twenty-five years, close cooperation between workshops and the brand has created an ecosystem where knowledge flows both ways and ongoing training has become a strategic pillar. This approach has shaped an experienced, cohesive network built on shared values, a common vision and a professional culture rooted in quality and trust.
During the opening session, Ferran Xipell, Strategic Unit Director, highlighted this connection. He described the evolution of the Aluminier Network as a shared footprint shaped by the dedication of every member. For him, the network represents a collective DNA that defines the brand and explains its consolidated position over time.
A Convention Focused on Collective Growth
The event brought together notable speakers who offered insight into the present and future of the sector. Among them were the Spanish ambassador to Ljubljana, Javier Herrera García Canturri, along with key contributors from the company and academic field.
Anne Catherine Bonet, Vice President for Southern Europe at Hydro Building Systems, reflected on the role of TECHNAL and the strength that comes from a well-established network like the Aluminiers. Professor Luis Huete, from IESE Business School, provided a strategic perspective on leadership and business management.
The programme also included an overview of the initiatives carried out throughout the year within the network, presented by its coordinator, Sonia Becerra. A round-table discussion followed, featuring workshops that had participated in training programmes offered in collaboration with ESADE. Their testimonies illustrated how continuous training directly enhances processes and boosts competitiveness. Attendees also took part in the diploma ceremony for the training programmes completed during the year.
A dedicated session explored the TECHNAL DNA, led by project managers Santiago Tajuelo and Pedro Duaso. Several workshops shared their professional journeys with the brand, and former specification director Claudine Lauzeral recalled key moments in the company’s evolution and in the growth of the professional community around it.
A Journey Through the History of the Aluminier Network
In a symbolic segment of the programme, Marketing Manager Albert Cunill and coordinator Sonia Becerra presented the full list of workshops that have been part of the Aluminier Network since its foundation, paying tribute to twenty-five years of collaborative work. This was followed by a retrospective of all previous conventions, highlighting how these gatherings have served as spaces for connection, technical updates and the strengthening of professional relationships.
The collective residential team also played a central role. José Camarillas, Patricia Rodríguez, Fernando Martínez and Juan Carlos Quintanilla outlined developments within their area and the challenges ahead, presenting a clear roadmap for continued innovation in large-scale residential projects.
Activities, Forward-Looking Perspectives and a Commitment to Sustainability
Beyond the conferences, the weekend included several activities designed to strengthen bonds among participants and foster the exchange of ideas in an inspiring setting. Workshops engaged in discussions on architectural trends, shared practical experiences and reflected on the growing importance of sustainability in the design of façades and building envelopes.
The convention concluded with a shared sense of pride, unity and purpose. This twenty-fifth anniversary not only celebrated the history of the Aluminier Network, but also highlighted its forward momentum and the importance of continuing to work together to provide aluminium solutions that meet the demands of a constantly evolving sector.
