Cortizo PVC: Sales Record in 2023 with 91 Million Euros
In 2023, Cortizo PVC solidified its leadership position in the market by setting a new sales record with a revenue of 91 million euros, marking a 21% increase from the previous year. With a production of 4,258,567 bars, the multinational confirmed its expansion both nationally and internationally, maintaining a double-digit growth trajectory in recent years. This is detailed on Cortizo’s website.
Estanislao Suárez, the PVC division manager at the company, emphasized the significance of this milestone: “This sustained growth reflects our strength in innovation and exports.” Additionally, Suárez announced an ambitious step towards sustainability: in the following months, Cortizo launched a new recycling plant that allowed for the reuse of end-of-life PVC windows, thus generating new recycled raw material.
Expansion and Increased Production Capacity
Cortizo PVC’s production facility, located in Padrón, expanded over 32,700 square meters and housed 21 extruders, 9 coating lines, 2 mixing areas, and 27 silos with a capacity to store up to 5,000 tons of raw material. As part of the Cortizo PVC Expansion Plan, the factory underwent an expansion process with the installation of 7 new extruders, increasing production capacity by an additional 11,000 tons, reaching a total of 48,000 tons annually.
Innovation and Certified Solutions
Cortizo PVC’s catalog offered solutions tailored to various projects, including window systems, doors, sliding doors, and shutter boxes. Among its standout products were four series with Passivhaus certification, awarded by the prestigious German institute, specifically designed for cool-temperate and warm-temperate climates. These solutions provided a Uw thermal transmittance of up to 0.66 W/m2K, ensuring maximum energy savings.
Cortizo also provided systems with various styles, from traditional designs with wood-like finishes to contemporary minimalist options such as the A84 Hidden Leaf, with a visible section of just 90 mm, and the C70 Sliding with a reduced central node of 30 mm. All series were available in ultra-performance matte finishes, meeting the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.
Maximum Quality and Certifications
Cortizo PVC guaranteed the highest quality of its products with Class A (main walls over 2.8 mm thick), Class S (maximum resistance to solar exposure in severe climates), and Class II (maximum impact resistance) classifications. This commitment to quality, combined with its focus on sustainability and innovation, ensured that Cortizo continued to set trends in the global PVC industry.
