Cortizo showcased its innovations at Veteco, highlighting sustainability, advanced design, and international solutions

Cortizo participated in Veteco with an impressive 600 m² stand where it presented over 20 innovations designed for contemporary architecture. These solutions, developed by its R&D+i teams and its Large Projects Engineering division, included windows, doors, façades, and railings, all tailored to meet the needs of the domestic market as well as the demands of nearly 90 countries where Cortizo operates. This was reported by the Mejor de Aluminio blog.

Dressler attended Veteco and had the opportunity to experience these remarkable innovations firsthand, including the 4600 Plus Lift-Slide System, designed for large openings. It combines elegant design with outstanding thermal insulation, achieving a thermal transmittance of Uw as low as 0.65 W/m²K. Similarly, the COR Vision EVO, an evolution of the popular COR Vision system, offers a minimalist design with embedded sashes and a central profile of just 25 mm, providing panoramic views and maximizing natural light intake.

In the field of safety, Cortizo introduced its new fire-resistant systems, such as the Millennium FR range, available with EI 30, 60, and 90 classifications, capable of delaying the spread of flames, smoke, and heat for up to 90 minutes. Complementing these solutions, the Smoke Ventilation System (SHEV), certified by IFT Rosenheim, was specifically designed for high-traffic spaces such as airports, shopping centers, and transport stations. It enhances evacuation efficiency during fires by effectively releasing smoke and heat.

Cortizo also showcased its ability to meet the demands of the American market with systems such as the Wind Speed sliding system and the Window Wall, both designed to withstand hurricanes and tropical storms. These systems, tested under the strict standards of the MIAMI-DADE NOA certification, ensure maximum safety in extreme weather conditions, meeting the requirements of coastal areas in the United States and the Caribbean.

Other innovations were also highlighted, such as the Millennium Plus Pivot door in a glazed version, the tilt-turn system integrated into the TP 62 façade, the View Crystal Fit Plus railing with adjustable wedges, and the Cladding Pro cladding system. Cortizo also introduced a new motorized blind option integrated into the COR 80 Industrial series, emphasizing its commitment to functionality and cutting-edge design.

A strong commitment to sustainability
Sustainability was a central theme of Cortizo’s participation at Veteco. From the outset, the Galician multinational has prioritized aluminum recycling, becoming the first company in the sector to have its own recycling plants. Today, its Cortizo Recycling network includes over 2,400 material collection points across Europe and two smelting plants.

During this edition, the company presented its new recycling center in Coirós (A Coruña), which will process up to 100,000 tons of post-consumer aluminum annually. This material, recovered from windows, doors, and other aluminum products at the end of their lifecycle, will be reused to manufacture sustainable profiles. This development enhances the production of its Cortizo Infinity billet, made entirely from post-consumer scrap, certified by Bureau Veritas and recognized with an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

Three decades of presence at Veteco
This edition of Veteco marked 30 years since Cortizo’s first participation in the fair, cementing its status as a leader in the sector. Over the years, the company has expanded its international presence, continuously innovating to offer solutions that combine energy efficiency, design, and sustainability.

Through its participation at Veteco, Cortizo reaffirmed its commitment to cutting-edge architecture, adapting to global market demands, and proving that innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand.
