CORTIZO Systems in Urban Litoral: Pioneers in PASSIVHAUS Promotion in Andalusia

The groundbreaking Urban Litoral development in Malaga has ushered in a new era of sustainable construction in Andalusia by becoming the region’s first PASSIVHAUS-certified promotion. In this transition towards a more efficient and environmentally friendly future, CORTIZO systems have played a crucial role, showcasing their leadership in technology and commitment to sustainability. This is what Vidrioperfil reports on its blog.

The Alliance of Architectural and Technological Innovation

Urban Litoral is an architectural masterpiece designed by JC Cifuentes Arquitectura in collaboration with Castaño & Asociados. This residential project of 44 homes was driven by EXXACON Smart Living and stood out not only for its design but also for its sustainable approach. In close collaboration with the architects, CORTIZO supplied 255 windows and doors from its A 84 PASSIVHAUS 1.0 series, making a clear commitment to energy efficiency and sustainable construction.

Energy Efficiency That Makes a Difference

The windows and doors of CORTIZO’s A 84 PASSIVHAUS 1.0 system have been an essential component in transforming Urban Litoral into an example of energy efficiency. With a depth of 84 mm and advanced thermal bridge break technology, these solutions offer a Uw heat transmission index from just 0.74 W/m²K, along with impressive sound insulation of up to 46 dB. These windows not only ensure exceptional comfort indoors but also significantly contribute to reducing heating and air conditioning demand.

A Commitment Beyond Efficiency

CORTIZO’s presence in Urban Litoral goes beyond energy efficiency. Outstanding results in air permeability, water tightness, and wind resistance tests highlight the quality and durability of these solutions. Furthermore, CORTIZO’s contribution to this project reflects its ongoing commitment to innovation and quality in the construction industry.

Urban Litoral has set a new standard for sustainable construction in Andalusia, and CORTIZO has been an essential pillar in this achievement. This collaboration demonstrates that advanced technology and a sustainable vision can converge to shape a brighter and more environmentally friendly future in the construction field.
