Guardian Glass Hosts Guardian Select 2024 Convention Under the Motto “Transformation and Growth Together”
Guardian Glass held its Guardian Select 2024 Convention in early June in Málaga, an event that brought together over 100 members of the Guardian Select network from Spain and Portugal. This gathering included executives and experts from Guardian Glass, who discussed the challenges and opportunities in the glass sector in the current context. Under the motto “Transformation and Growth Together,” the convention focused primarily on digital transformation. Guardian Select insulating glass manufacturers took the opportunity to exchange experiences, strengthen bonds, and explore new business opportunities. Journalist María Casado moderated the event, facilitating a smooth and enriching dialogue.
Guus Boekhoudt, Executive Vice President of Guardian Glass Europe, opened the sessions by thanking the Guardian Select members for their commitment to the program. Boekhoudt emphasized the importance of sharing a common vision and uniting efforts to promote innovation in the glass industry. He also highlighted the investments made in the float glass plant in Luxembourg, which include new technology aimed at reducing CO2 emissions.
Andrey Stolney, Sales Director of Guardian Glass Europe, followed with a presentation offering a comprehensive overview of the company’s current and future projects, focusing on digital transformation. Stolney explained how these initiatives are designed to improve customer service and generate greater value.
The event also featured a roundtable moderated by María Casado, with participation from several Guardian Glass executives: Ignacio Zamora, Susana Gago, Miguel Sánchez, and Nora Vera. During the discussion, topics such as the new European directive on building energy efficiency, the launch of the new low-carbon glass range, Guardian Nexa, and the distinctive initiatives of the Guardian Select brand, including the Environmental Product Declaration, were addressed.
The convention concluded with an award ceremony recognizing outstanding Guardian Select companies: Sedatec, Termiglass, Cristalerías Madrid, Cristalería Crevillente, and Barnaglass. These awards highlight the commitment and excellence in insulating glass manufacturing.
This convention was an opportunity to share dialogue and experiences, as well as to update on challenges and focus on a common horizon, emphasizing innovation and digital transformation.
