Dressler once again benefits from subsidies for maritime and air transport in the Canary Islands
Once again, Dressler continues its activities with the Ultra Peripheral Regions by receiving the subsidy for maritime and air transport of goods originating from or destined for the Canary Islands. This financial support, granted by the Government Delegation in the Canary Islands through the functional area of Development, reflects the essential role we play in the regional economic fabric.
What do these subsidies consist of?
These subsidies aim to alleviate the costs associated with the transport of goods to and from the Canary Islands. Due to the geographical distance and the ultra-peripheral status of the region, maritime and air transport becomes essential but often costly. The Government Delegation in the Canary Islands, in collaboration with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), has established these subsidies to strengthen the competitiveness of Canary companies by reducing logistics costs.
Co-financing with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
It is important to note that these benefits are co-financed with the ERDF, a fund of the European Union dedicated to the economic development of ultra-peripheral regions. This collaboration reflects the joint support of regional and European authorities to overcome logistical challenges and promote sustainable growth in the Canary Islands.
A Stimulus for the Regional Economy
By obtaining these subsidies for expenses incurred in 2022, Dressler contributes not only to optimizing its logistics operations but also to boosting the regional economy. The reduction in transport costs translates into greater competitiveness for local businesses and, ultimately, tangible benefits for the community.
